Community Guidelines

Welcome to Waverii, a global online marketplace connecting traveling surfers and surf enthusiasts with local surf service providers—including surf guides, instructors, lodging, equipment rentals and purchases, media services, and transportation.

These Community Guidelines are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all users. By accessing or using Waverii, you agree to follow these guidelines as well as our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and all applicable local laws.

  • Harassment, hate speech, threats, or discriminatory behavior based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
  • All user interactions—messages, reviews, and in-person meetings—must be respectful and non-confrontational.

Waverii reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be in violation of this policy.

2. Honest Listings & Reviews

Trust is foundational to our platform.

  • Service Providers must ensure that listings are truthful and accurate, including details about pricing, availability, photos, qualifications, and services offered.
  • Travelers and Clients should provide honest reviews based on genuine experiences.

Fraudulent, misleading, or defamatory content is prohibited and may result in removal from the platform.

3. Safety & Risk Awareness

Surfing involves inherent risks. All users are responsible for assessing their own safety and acting accordingly.

  • Service Providers must comply with local safety regulations, use appropriate equipment, and disclose relevant risks to clients.
  • Travelers should only engage in services suited to their skill level and are solely responsible for their personal safety.

Waverii does not vet or guarantee the qualifications, licenses, or insurance status of service providers. Use your best judgment and take all necessary precautions.

4. Environmental Stewardship

Waverii supports sustainable surf travel and eco-conscious behavior.

  • Avoid single-use plastics, dispose of trash properly, and respect marine life and local ecosystems.
  • Choose service providers that implement environmentally responsible practices.

Users found to be engaging in environmentally destructive behavior may be removed from the platform.

We are committed to cultivating a welcoming environment.

  • Celebrate surfing at all levels—whether you’re a beginner or pro.
  • Encouragement and collaboration are expected; trolling, bullying, or shaming is not tolerated.

Be a responsible guest when traveling.

  • Follow local customs, cultural norms, and surf etiquette.
  • Ask locals or providers before entering sensitive areas or surf spots with environmental or cultural significance.

7. Fair & Transparent Transactions

Waverii does not process payments or enforce commercial agreements. Users are responsible for managing transactions independently.

  • Service Providers: Clearly communicate pricing, cancellation policies, and any extra fees before confirming bookings.
