Personal surf coaching for beginners to advanced surfers around Balangan, Uluwatu and the Bukit area.
At Soulflow, every session is tailored to your level, goals and the day’s surf conditions. We keep our coaching private or small, with a maximum of 3 surfers per coach, so you get more attention in the water and clearer feedback.
We offer:
• Private 1:1 surf coaching
• Semi-private 2:1 sessions
• Small groups up to 3 surfers
• Beginner surf lessons
• Intermediate and progression coaching
• Advanced coaching and surf guiding
We choose the most suitable surf spot based on swell, tide, wind and your ability rather than running the same lesson at the same beach every day.
Clear English communication, experienced local coaches and real progression are at the core of every session.
Sessions are matched to your level and the day’s surf conditions. We select the most suitable spot based on swell, tide, wind and ability, and keep groups small for close supervision in the water. Please let us know in advance about any medical conditions, injuries or swimming concerns.
Tangkius “Tank” is the founder and head coach behind SoulFlow Surf Bali.
Originally from Nias Island, one of Indonesia’s most iconic surf destinations, Tank has been surfing since childhood and competing since the age of 16. His surf career includes placing Top 4 in Indonesia at Quiksilver King of the Groms 2004, competing in the Indonesia Surfing Championship Tour, and receiving support from brands including Quiksilver, Rusty, Carve, and many local brands.
With over 20 years of experience in Bali, Tank has surfed, guided, and coached across Bali, Java, Sumatra, Nias, Lombok, and beyond. He has worked with surf businesses including Rusty, Rapture, and Baru Surf, built and owned one of Kuta’s long-running surf camp operations.
Today, his experience shapes the way SoulFlow teaches: patient, detail-oriented, personal, and focused on real progress. Every session is built around your level, confidence, ocean knowledge, and the conditions of the day.
"Surfing is not just about standing up. It is about learning how to read the ocean, understand yourself, build confidence, and connect your technique with the flow of the wave. That’s what SoulFlow is about."
Exact meeting time and surf spot may change depending on tide and conditions. We’ll confirm the final details before your session. Surfboard and basic surf equipment are provided. Please bring swimwear, sunscreen and drinking water. Beginners are welcome — no previous surf experience is required.
