At Wave into Soul surf school and stay, our philosophy transcends simply teaching the basics of standing up on a surfboard. We offer a holistic approach to wave-riding, tailored to each individual’s skill level—whether you’re just beginning your surfing journey or already have experience. Our lessons encompass a wide range of elements, including ocean awareness, environmental stewardship, surfing etiquette, and the profound mental health benefits that come from connecting with the ocean. We believe in providing consistent guidance and support, ensuring that every surfer, from novice to advanced, feels encouraged and empowered throughout their learning process.
Our lessons break down into 3 different levels of surfers :
The level 1 (Beginner) surfer that is looking to catch their first waves
The level 2 (Improver) surfer who is looking to explore unbroken waves for the first time
The level 3 (Intermediate) surfer that is looking to improve on their basic manœuvres
We keep our groups small with a maximum ratio of 1:6
From a very young age, the ocean and sports have played a central role in my life. I first developed my skills in swimming before practicing other disciplines such as basketball and volleyball. But it was in the water that I found my true calling, which led me to become a certified swim instructor and teach for two years at a well-regarded private school.
My passion for the ocean then led me to explore a wide range of water sports, including surfing, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, bodyboarding, and kayaking. Through extensive training with UCPA, I was able to refine my techniques and gain strong experience in these disciplines. For over ten years, I also worked each summer as a lifeguard, developing a strong sense of responsibility along with valuable safety and emergency response skills.
Surfing quickly became much more than a sport—it became a true passion and a way of life. For over fifteen years, I have dedicated myself to both practicing and teaching it, sharing my knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm with students from around the world. As an instructor, my mission is to guide each surfer through their learning journey, teach the technical foundations, and share that unique, free, and deeply personal connection with the ocean.
