Situated just 20 minutes outside Manta, it is just a quick drive to the point breaks or walk outback to the empty beach break peaks of our beach San Lorenzo — two of Ecuador’s premier surf zones — you’ll be right in the heart of the coast’s surf culture.

House rules & summary
Villas San Lorenzo Surf & Stay
We want you to enjoy your time at Villa Hermosa and keep the good vibes flowing for everyone. Please respect the following house rules during your stay:
1. Visitors – No outside visitors are allowed unless confirmed with management.
2. Noise – Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m. Please keep the peace and respect your neighbors.
3. Parties/Events – Only permitted with prior approval from management.
4. Requests – Direct all requests (cleaning, maintenance, tours, transport, etc.) to management.
5. Trash & Cleaning – Please dispose of trash daily. Cleaning service is provided every other day.
6. Keys & Security – Always secure your villa keys and lock up when leaving. For your safety, do not lose the automatic door opener for the carport.
7. Pets – Sorry, no animals allowed on the property.
8. Air Conditioning – Turn off all A/C units when leaving for surfing or day trips.
9. Eco-Conscious Living – Water is delivered to each villa by truck, so please conserve. Be mindful of showers and usage.
10. Energy – Switch off lights and electronics when not in use.
11. Community Respect – Be courteous to other guests and enjoy the shared spaces responsibly.

Welcome to San Lorenzo, known locally as a Cabo (Cape) — a raw and beautiful stretch of Ecuador’s Pacific coast. This is where surfers, adventurers, and nature-lovers come to escape the crowds and find their own slice of paradise.
Surf in San Lorenzo
• The Wave: San Lorenzo offers empty beach break peaks that peel up and down the coastline. Best with a northwest swell mixed with light southwest winds, producing chest-to-head-high waves — and on the right days, much bigger, with perfect form.
• Conditions:
• Offshore winds most mornings, often lasting until midday.
• Light winds into the afternoon, with possible evening glass-offs.
• The Break: Waves break 20–50 yards off the sand, making for a powerful, fast, and hollow ride. Expect both lefts and rights.
• Skill Level: This is primarily an intermediate-to-experienced wave. Not ideal for beginners — but don’t worry, we offer custom surf tours to more beginner-friendly spots nearby.
• Crowds: Almost none. With many peaks up and down the beach, it’s often just you and your crew.
Beyond the Waves
• Beaches & Heat: San Lorenzo is hot year-round, but the beautiful wide beaches are perfect for cooling off after a surf session.
• Lighthouse Hike: Just behind the villas, hike up to the famous lighthouse, stopping at four panoramic platforms with stunning 360° views of jungle and coast.
• Wildlife: Only a 2–3 minute drive away are monkey tours, where you’ll encounter playful howler monkeys and capuchins in their natural habitat.
• Adventures: Horseback riding, fishing tours, scuba diving, and kite surfing are all available in the region.
