Looking out onto the pacific, this renovated second floor is equipped with three queen rooms with A/C, two of which have walk-out balconies and wide windows overlooking the ocean. As you drift off to the sounds of the wind and waves, you’ll know you’ve come to the right place.
About the Area
Playa Poderosa is situated in Popoyo, a charming town on the southwestern coast of Nicaragua. A world-class surfing destination, Popoyo is known for its beautiful beaches, Pacific sunsets, and unsullied nature stretching out in all directions.
We’re situated right between the Playa Santana beach break and Popoyo reef break—two of the most famous and consistent surfing spots in the area!
Head to one of the property’s neighboring restaurants to appreciate the freshest seafood and fruits you'll ever eat. Mingle with friendly locals along one of the town's many sandy beaches. Nearby activities include fishing, yoga retreats, surfing, and horseback riding. And all within driving's distance are stunning volcanoes, lagoons, nature reserves, and neighboring villages always happy to greet you.
The moment you arrive, you'll be seduced by Popoyo's unhurried lifestyle and friendly vibes. It's a quaint, safe, laid-back hideaway where there's always something to do—even if that "something" is "nothing at all."
The Space
Connecting the rooms is a spacious lounge area with two couches, a fully equipped kitchen, and a wraparound balcony with hammocks to kick back and watch the sunset.
The space accommodates a maximum of 6 people.
Things to Know
We recommend that guests pull out USD or NIO before their arrival, as ATMs are not accessible in the immediate area.
Power outages are frequent in Nicaragua. We have a generator in case we loose power for too long. The A/C is not working with the generator.
Our WiFi is the best in the area, allowing you to work online, have conference calls, and download photos and videos. Occasional issues may occur, but it is not frequent. We have a backup battery.
We have a security guard on-site every night!
Cleaning fee of $60 is added to each booking (5 times a week).

At Playa Poderosa, we strive to take care of you, our community and our environment.
• Please use the trash bin for all toilet paper, paper tissue.
• While using the AC, please make sure that all of the windows in the room and doors are closed. Please turn off the AC when leaving the room.
• Please use the shower located downstairs to wash off sand and sunscreen before entering the house and the pool.
• Water is not safe for drinking. Use the big water bottle to drink. You can brush your teeth with the sink water.
Technical & security reminders
• No parties are allowed.
• For your safety, lock the doors during the night or when you leave the house.
• Keep the gate closed.
• Key replacement fee is $60.
• The clean-up of the house will start at 10 a.m. (checkout day).

• For information related to tours, activities or details about swells, tides, rip currents or any other kind of request, don't hesitate to contact us.
• We have a strict no-guest policy; only registered persons are allowed on the property.
